OUR 15 year HISTORY

2010 – The Beginning
Maurizio realised Manchester was missing something—an authentic Italian deli. Bringing back goods from Italy for friends and family, he saw the demand for high-quality Italian produce. And just like that, Salvi’s was born!
Naturally, the next step was a restaurant. The Mozzarella Bar became Manchester’s first true Neapolitan eatery, laying the foundation for everything to come.
2011 – The Mozzarella Bar Opens:
2014 – Salvi’s Cucina, John Dalton Street:
Inspired by Naples’ homely kitchens, Cucina welcomed guests as if they were family.
Just two doors down, the Pizzeria served up classic Neapolitan street food—the perfect high-carb hangover cure!
2015 – Salvi’s Pizzeria Arrives:
2017 – The Corn Exchange Pop-Up:
Salvi’s Terezza bar brought Prosecco, Italian wines, and cocktails to the heart of the city, offering the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink.
Maurizio’s vision for a city-wide Italian celebration became reality. The UK had never seen anything like it, and it’s only grown bigger each year.
2018 – Festa Italiana is Born:
2019 – Salvi’s Northern Quarter:
Bringing Southern Italian charm to Manchester’s coolest district, this light-filled space became a favourite, rain or shine.
The Cucina and Pizzeria shut their doors as their building was demolished—but new opportunities lay ahead!
2020 – A Chapter Closes:
2022 – Salvi’s at Deansgate Square:
The most exciting addition yet. A true flagship, combining deli delights, spritzes at the bar, and the dreamy Amalfi garden—bringing a slice of Italy to Manchester, no flight required.
In 2024, we decided it was time to give our original Salvi’s where it all began at the Corn Exchange a well-deserved facelift. This iconic location holds a special place in our hearts, and watching it transform was an emotional and exciting moment for the entire Salvi’s family. Seeing our beloved Corn Exchange restaurant refreshed and revitalised, while still holding onto its authentic charm, was truly incredible. We can’t wait to welcome you back to experience the new look while still enjoying the same warm, vibrant atmosphere and delicious, authentic Italian food you know and love!

2024 - Corn Exchange refurbishment:

Went there on my birthday and it was amazing, the staff were 10/10, service was great (helps if you’re Italian and understand their jokes as most of the staff is). I normally don’t eat much when I’m out, however the food was too good for me not to finish! Definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic visit at Salvis! Highly recommend the calamari, and my pasta was excellent too. The staff were exceptionally friendly, It was a great visit. We booked a table, and would highly recommend this as it was quite busy on a Wednesday night.

It was our first time in Salvis. What an atmosphere, the vibes and the food! The portions, taste and wine were perfect! Absolutely amazing. One of the best places I’ve ever been. I want to come back!

Catherine

Best Italian I had in Manchester, so far! The pastas are amazing, the pistachio cake is out of this world and the service is excellent. A true Italian experience and a must go restaurant.

Marilla

Excellent service from start to finish! A very warm welcome and a great atmosphere. There were 9 of us, everyone enjoyed their food. A special occasion was made more special by the service we received.

June

Very good experience at Salvi's Deansgate. I visited Salvi's due to the authentic Italian menu that provides a lot more variety than the standard Italian and British restaurant. Service was good, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good and arrived quickly. I will be visiting again.
