Venison and Juniper Berries

Ingredients

  • 500g venison (can be substituted for beef)
  • 500 ml red wine
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 20 juniper berries
  • 1 onion
  • salt and pepper
  • Method

  • Slice the venison into large chunks.
  • Marinate the meat in red wine with juniper berries, onion, thyme and rosemary overnight.
  • Place in a baking dish and cook on a low heat (150C) for 6 hours.
  • Serve with roast potatoes.
